Catherine Cortez Masto (Las Vegas, Nevada) 2016

Catherine Cortez Masto took office in January 2017, and was the first Latina in the United States Senate. She was born on March 29, 1964 in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 29, 196. In 1986, he graduated with a degree in Business Administration in Finance at the University of Nevada, Reno. She continued her education by pursuing a J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law, and graduated in 1990. She began her career as a lawyer in the U.S District Court, District of Nevada then going on to serve two terms as attorney general for Nevada. She is currently a sitting U.S. Senator for Nevada.
